Reviews for “Deep Peril”

Deep Peril is an intense story of greed and sabotage aboard a deep-sea research vessel, where ecology-driven environmentalists are pitted against profit-driven mining companies. Author Scott Slocum uses his years of experience as a Navy officer to transport readers to a ship in the middle of the ocean where they will feel as cramped, frightened, and claustrophobic as his characters. I don’t normally read suspense, but Scott’s clear writing (along with a bit of romance) made this a book I couldn’t put down.

This was a fun and easy read, with a cool, unexpected ending. The author clearly knows his way around a naval vessel - you feel like you’re right there in the middle of the action. I would recommend it to anyone who likes thrillers with a little romance thrown in. It would make an exciting Netflix series.
